Official Film Festival Selection - Wednesday

Welcome to the Official Selection for Day 3 of the Changing the Story Online International Film Festival 2020.

On Wednesday, catch a captivating selection of films about youth, resistance and freedom. You'll see films about the devastating impact of war and the trials and tribulations of transitioning from youth to adulthood. See first-hand how youth and communities are resisting oppression, discrimination and violence, and how and why peaceful resistances take the form that they do in particular contexts around the world.

NB. Research relies on personal testimony and the creation of an open space for the critical exchange of ideas. As a consequence, some content in these films refer to or depict topics you may find upsetting, such as sexual abuse, slavery, child abuse, self-harm or suicide, kidnapping or abduction, death or dying, hateful language directed at marginalised groups.

Probably a metaphor of what being young and feeling oppressed means, but at the same time, with irony, there’s always the opportunity to smile, also while we’re falling. If we dance while we enjoy the ride.
