Katie is a Post-Doctoral Research and Teaching Fellow at the University of Leeds. Katie's work focuses on interdisciplinary and youth-led approaches to education, post-conflict society, and international development. Her current research explores social justice at the intersection of formal education and participatory arts programmes in post-conflict contexts, and within Changing the Story projects. Katie also teaches in education and international development. Before joining CTS, Katie worked as a researcher on international research projects spanning 17 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Central America and Europe. This included a project commissioned by SOS Children’s Villages into the social exclusion of vulnerable youth and a Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs funded SRHR alliance, evaluating education and health programmes working on young people's sexual and reproductive health and rights.
