Michael Warren (PAX)

Michael James Warren is Programme Manager Kosovo at PAX, a Netherlands-based international peacebuilding NGO. He leads a programme portfolio that includes strategic support to the integration of Kosovo's ethnically-diverse northern region through investments in inclusive local governance and civil society innovation, and advocacy efforts aimed at strengthening Kosovo's national framework for dealing with the wartime past. Previously, he served as Strategy Advisor on local governance and peacebuilding at UN-Habitat, Director of Project Development and Fundraising at Nonviolent Peaceforce, and Programme Specialist (Security and Rule of Law) at UNDP Kosovo, among other roles. Michael has an M.Sc. in the Political Economy of Violence, Conflict and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies, and co-convenes the Plural Security Insights research network.
