Rovithono (Youth Research Board)

Hi! I'm Rovithono. I am 23 and from Kohima, Nagaland, which is situated in the North-Eastern part of India.

Ever since I was young, I have been interested in women's health and women's education.

I am currently working as a research assistant at the Kohima Institute, a non-profit, research-focused institute based in Kohima, Nagaland. I finished my Bachelor of Arts degree in education and I have worked with three filmmakers on the Changing the Story project, 'Participatory Arts for Health Improvement in North-East India'. I have worked on an inquiry by Naga youth into the role of CSOs and worked alongside the Global Health Group on a mixed-methods study into surgical care in rural areas in North-East India. I have taught in private schools and provide online language lessons.

I am currently involved in a project under the Global Impact Accelerator in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh and the Highland Institute on a project called, 'Naga Women's Health Channel: Developing an Online Health Community among Young Women in North-East India.'
